-- This summer, The Piano Man will meet the Green Monster. Billy Joel will perform for the first time ever at Boston's famed Fenway Park baseball stadium on July 26. The show marks Joel's first solo headlining concert in Boston in five years. Tickets go on sale to the general public on February 8 via RedSox.com/BillyJoel.
Fenway Park is only one of several stadiums that Billy will play this summer. The others include Chicago's Wrigley Field, Washington, D.C.'s Nationals Park, and Philadelphia's Citizens Bank Park.
Playing baseball stadiums is, of course, old hat for Joel. In 1990, he became the first artist ever to play a rock concert at New York's Yankee Stadium, and in 2008, he was the last artist to perform at New York's Shea Stadium before it was torn down.
