-- On the Air Tonight, the 10th solo album from Zombies frontman Colin Blunstone, has just been released in the U.S. The 10-song collection features a variety of well-crafted pop tunes, many of which were written by the 68-year-old singer. The album was produced by Jon Sweet, whose credits include Blunstone's 2009 release The Ghost of You and Me.
Colin is planning on supporting On the Air Tonight with a run of U.S. solo shows this spring, although none of the dates have been confirmed.
Meanwhile, Blunstone currently is on the road in the U.K. with The Zombies as part of The Ultimate Rhythm & Blues 50th Anniversary Tour, which also features The Yardbirds, Animals & Friends and Maggie Bell. The outing runs through a March 7 show in Leicester, England.
After that, The Zombies will take part in the second annual Moody Blues fan cruise, which runs from April 2 until April 7 and makes stops on Grand Turk Island and in Nassau, The Bahamas. The band will follow that event with a series of U.S. concerts running from an April 8 show in Hallandale Beach, Florida, through a May 3 stop in McAllen, Texas.
