Kennedy International Airport in New York City this Friday in honor of the 50th anniversary of The Beatles' first arriving in the U.S.  The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey will host a ceremony at the TWA Flight Center, where the Fab Four held their historic press conference after their Pan Am flight touched down in the airport on the afternoon of February 7, 1964.

Beatles tribute band Liverpool will be on hand to entertain attendees at the unveiling event, which is being held partly in conjunction with the 2014 edition of the annual Fest for Beatles Fans.  The Port Authority's executive director, Pat Foye, and deputy executive director, Deb Gramiccioni, will officiate over the ceremony, which will take place at 11:30 a.m. ET at the airport's Central Terminal Area.
