-- The 2014 edition of the annual New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival boasts a particularly impressive lineup, but if you can't make it down to the Big Easy for the musical extravaganza, you'll still have the chance to catch a lot of the action on television. AXS TV will be broadcasting footage from both weekends of the festival, which runs from from April 25 through May 4, including more than 24 hours' worth of live performances from the events second weekend.
Among the veteran artists whose sets will be shown on AXS TV are Santana, Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters, John Fogerty, Boz Scaggs and John Hiatt. Other confirmed acts that will be featured are Christina Aguilera, Arcade Fire, Vampire Weekend, Alabama Shakes and The Avett Brothers. A complete lineup for the network's broadcast will be announced soon.
This year's Jazz Fest also will feature performances from Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Chaka Khan, Aaron Neville, Bobby Womack, Johnny Winter and many, many others.
This will mark the second straight year that AXS TV has aired live performances from Jazz Fest. This Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, an hour-long special offering highlights of the 2013 festival will premiere on the network. The show will feature footage of Billy Joel, Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Maroon 5, Willie Nelson and Allen Toussaint.
