The U2 singer -- who has long been associated with Amnesty International -- praised Malala Yousafzai for her, "One in a century kind of courage," reports the London Evening Standard.

In receiving the award, Yousafzai said, "I want to live in a world where free, compulsory education is available everywhere, to every child."
