Paul McCartney's new album, titled New, debuts in third place on the British music charts, according to the Official Charts Company. It’s Sir Paul’s 16th solo album.

Pearl Jam's new album, Lightning Bolt, is second. It’s the band’s highest-charting U.K. album since 1993’s VS.

British singer John Newman is first on the U.K. chart with his debut album, Tribute.

The Billboard album chart numbers for the U.S. will be out Wednesday.
