Sambora's appearance comes as his band continues to tour without him. He left the tour in April.

Astronaut Buzz Aldrin has been named the grand marshal of the parade, which will feature a tribute to the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless in honor of its 40th anniversary.

The parade, benefiting Toys for Tots, will be hosted by actors Erik Estrada and Dean Cain, TV host Laura McKenzie, and former talk show host Montel Williams. It will premiere on TV as a two-hour special on the Hallmark Channel on December 11.
