After three years together, Madonna and her boyfriend, French dancer Brahim Zaibat, have separated, her rep confirms to ABC News Radio. Madonna, 55, and Zaibat, 25, started dating in 2010.  Zaibat even worked with the singer on her MDNA world tour last year.

Madonna told ABC's Cynthia McFadden in early 2012 that between the two of them, she was the "easy" one in the relationship, meaning "low-maintenance."

"You know, I go home and I wash my face and I put on my sweatpants and I lay down on the bed and I say, 'oh, please rub my feet,' and you know, he says, 'no, you rub my feet,'" she told McFadden.  "So, you know, behind the curtain, I'm just like everybody else."

Speaking about the fact that Zaibat is considerably younger than her, Madonna told McFadden that it's not something she actively seeks out.  "I didn't, like, write down on a piece of paper, 'I'm now going to have a relationship with a younger man,'" she explained.  "That's just what happened.  You see, that's the romantic in me.  I just met someone that I cared for, and this happened to be his age."

So what happened between them?  A source tells US Weekly, "It ran its course.  They were dancing and working together all the time and then they barely saw each other."
