-- When Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora up and left the band in the middle of its world tour, the group soldiered on as rumors swirled about why he'd left. Sambora has since revealed that he wanted more time with his family after 30 years of non-stop touring, but he says he has no problem with the idea of rejoining the band. Speaking to Billboard about getting back together with Jon Bon Jovi and the guys, Richie says, "Yes, I would think about it for sure. There's no malice here."
He also dismisses rumors that he left the group over disagreements about money. Calling such reports "baloney," he adds, "You look at your bank account, and you see the currency of love and happiness is more important than the currency of money."
Sambora also reveals that during his downtime, in addition to spending time with his teenage daughter, he's also been caring for his ailing mother, who fractured her hip six weeks ago. But overall, he confesses, "I needed to be with myself for the first time in a long time. I had some time to grow up, because rock 'n' roll will make you a virtual 17-year-old."
