Aretha Franklin Celebrates Birthday in NYC

Showbiz411.com reports Aretha dined with friends at La Grenoiulle, an upscale French restaurant, in Manhattan. Afterward, they all attended Denzel Washington's Broadway play, A Raisin in the Sun. The Queen of Soul, who turns 72 on Tuesday, didn't call it a night after the play ended.

Lynyrd Skynyrd's 2014 Simple Man Cruise to Feature Foghat, Starship

Aretha Franklin to Headline NYC's Blue Note Jazz Festival

The Queen of Soul will play a two-night engagement, June 14-15, at Radio City Music Hall.  Tickets range from $55 to $100 and are available through the festival's website.

Rights to New Documentary About The Who's Managers Acquired by Sony Pictures Classics

The movie tells the story of Kit Lambert and Chris Stamp, film directors who in 1963 set out to find an unknown band to feature in a movie and wound up guiding the career of one rock's greatest groups.

Boz Scaggs Says New Dukes of September Concert Video Sounds "Really, Really Nice"
