Dionne Warwick & Whitney Houston Inducted into New Jersey Hall of Fame

According to NJ.com, the two singers were among 14 honorees inducted during a ceremony in Newark, which is where Whitney was born. "I'm sure she would've been thrilled," Warwick said of Houston, who passed away in February 2012.  "I'm excited to know that she's not forgotten."

Aretha Franklin, Berry Gordy to Be Recognized at 2014 BET Honors

The Queen of Soul will receive the Musical Arts Award, while Gordy will be presented with the Visionary Award at the event, which celebrates distinguished African-Americans excelling in music, literature, entertainment, media, service and education.

U2 Receive Oscar Nomination for "Ordinary Love"

U2 was previously nominated for an Oscar for "The Hands that Built America" in 2003, but lost to Eminem's "Lose Yourself."
