UK Radio Play Based on Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side of the Moon" to Premiere on Monday

b_250_0_16777215_00_images_obgrabber_2013-08_c2eb92cb33.jpgEMI Music -- DarkSide, the new radio play written by acclaimed playwright Tom Stoppard that's based on Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon album, will premiere on the U.K.'s BBC Radio 2 on Monday at 10 p.m. local time (5 p.m. ET).  The dramatic production, which will run just under two hours, will tell a "fantastical and psychedelic story" inspired by themes showcased in the album's songs and will feature music from the record as its soundtrack.

Director Lee Daniels Says a Janis Joplin Biopic Will Be His Next Film

Last year, reports surfaced that Amy Adams was in line to star in the film, while The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that director Lee Daniels was in talks to helm the flick.  Now, Daniels -- best known as the director of Precious and this year's The Butler -- has revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that the Joplin movie will be his "next project for sure."

Elton John's Glam Platform Boots Being Auctioned to Benefit Amnesty International

John Fogerty Joins Country Star Brad Paisley at California Concert

Linda Ronstadt Reveals that She's Battling Parkinson's Disease and Can No Longer Sing
