Illinois Town to Commemorate 50th Anniversary of George Harrison's First US Visit

b_250_0_16777215_00_images_obgrabber_2013-08_98f855e6c0.jpgApple Corps Limited/courtesy of HBO -- A special marker will be unveiled next month in Benton, Illinois, commemorating the 50th anniversary of a visit George Harrison paid to the town.  The late Beatles member, along with his brother Peter, traveled to Benton in late September 1963 to see Harrison's sister, Louise Harrison Caldwell, who had moved to the town earlier that year with her husband.

The Zombies' Rod Argent Talks New Tour Leg, Says New Music Is in the Works

On Wednesday, McCartney posted a series of words on Twitter that go with the word “new,” including “sreel,” “sworthy,” “fangled” and “Orleans.” The Twitter tease ties in with a new McCartney single, entitled “New,” that's now available, and an album of the same name that's scheduled for release in the fall.

Jimmy Buffett's New Album, "Songs from St. Somewhere," Debuts at #4 on "Billboard" 200

Two other Buffett albums also reached the fourth slot on the Billboard albums tally -- 1996's Banana Wind and 2006's Take the Weather with You -- while Jimmy topped the chart in 2004 with License to Chill.
