Diane White, 55, of Grapeview, WA died at her home on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Diane was born on October 19, 1955 in Seattle, WA to Robert L. and Dorothy M. (Christian) Stephens. She graduated from Immaculate Conception High in Seattle, WA in 1973 and attended some college classes at Seattle Central Community College. In July of 1972, she married David A. White.
Diane was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and she was very active in the ministry. Her hobbies included cooking (especially Creole and Mexican cuisine), music, dance, and shopping. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and loved people and entertaining. Diane was fun loving and mischievous with a delightful sense of humor. She will be remembered for her spunk, warmth, generosity, her welcoming spirit, her joys in life and her love for her God.
She is survived by her husband, Dave of Grapeview; daughters, Detra (Jacob) Phillips, Shelton and Denita Jones of Tacoma; father, Robert Stephens; mother, Dorothy Woods, both of Seattle; sisters Joanna (Richard) Ellison, Annette (Raymond) Livingston, Sunni (Brian) Terri, Dee Stephens, Martha Jamerson, and Janet (Joe) James, all of Seattle; grandchildren Jordan and Joel Phillips and Daisia, Malakai, and Xavia Jones; three aunts, two uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services were held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 2:00. The family was served by McComb Funeral Home.
