Wendel Keith Stewart, 78, of Shelton, WA died peacefully at his home with loving family at his side on Thursday, July 28, 2011. Wendel was born on April 9, 1933 to Robert L. and Ruby F. (Ebner) Stewart in Bartelsville, OK. He served in the Korean War as a parachuter and military police of the US Marines.
Wendel married Kaye J. Frisbee in Nevada in January of 2003 and was a police officer in Seattle until his retirement. Mr. Stewart enjoyed fishing, boating, gardening and swimming.
He is survived by his wife, Kaye; sister, Norma Rolla, Bellevue; children, Brent Stewart, Seattle, Bruce Stewart, Renton, Lynette Stewart, Fall City, and Brian Stewart, Bonney Lake; stepchildren, Michael Rowley, Sumner, James Rowley, WA, Davie Rowley, Everett, Jon Rowley, Lynwood, and Teresa Tegman, Everett; and eleven grandchildren.
At Mr. Stewarts request no services will be held.
