Wilbert H. “Bill” Busack

busackbill.jpgWilbert H. “Bill” Busack, 89, a sixty year resident of Shelton, WA passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Shelton Health and Rehabilitation.  He was born on July 23, 1922 in Hancock MN to Otto and Bertha (Hoope) Busack.  Bill served in the US Army as a Staff Sergeant and Tank Driver from October 1942 to January 1946.  He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was a Purple Heart Recipient. 

On November 9, 1946 he married Marjorie S. Beresford in Toledo, OR.  They were married for 65 years.  Bill worked at Beckwith Jewelry, Washington State Correction Center, and the Washington State Patrol.  He retired in 1982.

He was a member of the VFW, Elks and the Methodist Church since 1951.  Bill enjoyed dancing at Little Skookum Hall, gardening and working in his yard, repairing holiday lights, and clocks. 
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie “Marge” Busack of Shelton, WA; sons, Gary L. Busack of Billings, MT and Scott Busack (Beverly) of Shelton, WA; daughter, Susan Bannier (Dan) of Monroe, WA; grandchildren, Ian, Jennifer, Danielle, Christy, and Sara; great grandchildren, Gavin, Andrew, Ella, Raylee, Andrea and Roman. 
A memorial service will be held at the Shelton United Methodist Church on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 2:00 pm.  Inurnment will be at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Salem, OR at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of McComb Funeral Home.
