Ronnie James Rivera, 24, died Sunday, December 11, 2011 at his home in Shelton, WA. He was born November 4, 1987 to Harry James Johns Jr. and Veronica Rivera in Olympia, WA. He attended Shelton High School. Ronnie married Sonia Silva on November 12, 2008 at the Skokomish Shaker Church.
He was a self-employed fisherman for the last 15 years. Ronnie was a member of the Squaxin Tribe and enjoyed basketball, fishing, hunting, clam digging and listening to music, especially fond of loud bass sound (bumping). He also enjoyed his nephews, the Shaker Church and canoe trips.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Sonia Silva, daughter, Kahlil Johns; brother, Jordan Lopeman-Johns; two sisters, Chickie Rivera-Williams, Billie Lopeman-Johns; father, Harry James Johns Jr.; mother, Veronica Rivera; grandparents, Mike and Rose Davis; brother-in-law, Howard Williams Jr.; numerous cousins, one niece and four nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Joyce Johns Owens in September 6, 2010 and Harry James Johns Sr. in 1991.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 17, 2011, 10:00am at the Squaxin Gymnasium. Burial will be at the Squaxin Cemtery. The family was served by McComb Funeral Home.
