Elmer Lloyd Friesner

FriesnerElmer.jpgElmer Lloyd Friesner, 78, a thirty-five year resident of Shelton, WA, passed away surrounded by his family at Mason General Hospital on April 24, 2012.  He was born to Floyd and Ethel (Bacon) Friesner in Rockwell City, IA on October 17, 1933.  On January 24, 1953 he married Marlyn Grems at his parent’s farm in Williams, MN. 
Elmer worked as a truck driver, heavy equipment operator and carpenter until his retirement.He enjoyed carpentry, woodworking, traveling and camping and loved watching the Mariners, having dinner at the casino and going for Sunday drives. Elmer especially enjoyed spending time with friends and family. 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlyn Friesner, his parents, Floyd and Ethel Friesner and his grandson, Jacob Hargraves. 
He is survived by his loving companion of ten years, Aloma Perez of Shelton, WA; daughters, Katherine Shelton (Eldon) of Rapid City, SD, Terry Corey (Steve) of Shelton, WA, Shelly Hargraves (Bob Smith) of Shelton, WA; sons, Steve Friesner (Sue ) of Estherville, IA, Chuck Friesner (Danni Egen) of Olympia, WA; Aloma’s children, Monica Nerney (Larry) of Shelton, WA, Terry Brownfield (Cheryl) of Shelton, WA; sister, Vi Henderson of Tennessee; brothers, Harold Friesner of Artesia NM, Cecil Friesner of Blooming Prairie, MN; fourteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
 A memorial service was held at Hope Chapel on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 10:00 am.
