Lynda Dillon Silver

Silver_Lynda.jpgLynda Dillon Silver, 63, a resident of Potlatch, died of cancer on July 9, 2012, at home.
She was born on Dec. 17, 1948, in Shelton to Charlie Dillon Leona (Aardell).
She was married twice. Both ended in divorce.
Silver took care of both of her parents as they became ill at the end of their lives. She had a flower shop in Union called Bloomers, then got involved in the fire department. She devoted many years to Mason County as an EMT and emergency dispatcher.
Her family shared that she loved to arrange flowers, garden and was very informed about birds, plants and photography. She also did a lot of traveling.
She is survived by her brother Sigurd Bakke of Eastern Washington; sister Kirsti Horner of Wisconsin; uncle William Conner of Olympia; aunt Thelma Conner of Olympia; cousins Bruce and Kathleen Conner and Celia Dillon of Olympia and many nieces, nephews, friends and family.
A memorial service will take place at 3 p.m. on Sept. 8 at the Mason County Fire District 6 fire hall, 50 E. Seattle St., Union. A potluck is also scheduled. For more information call 427-9416. Fire Chaplain James Potter and Chief Clint Voke will officiate.
An inurnment will take place on Hood Canal following the service. Arrangments are under the direction of Lori Jackson.
