Benson_Anna_B.jpgAnna Belle Benson, 80, of Shelton, WA passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Fir Lane Health and Rehabilitation Center. Anna was born on October 4, 1931 in Des Moines, Iowa to David C. and Myrtle I. (Mitchell) Frazier. She attended Dunlap High School in Dunlap, Iowa. She married Don Holloway, ending in divorce and married Cliff Benson in Kitsap County, WA on June 9, 1966. Anna was a homemaker and worked her own farm. She was a member of the Silver Spurs Riding Club where she met her late husband Cliff through their love of horses. They took horseback riding trips into the North Cascades to hunt for deer and elk each year. Her life was based around her farm where she raised calves, had many horses, grew a garden and canned her bounty. She also entertained at the Girl Scout Camp and was a starting member of Adopt-a-Pet in Shelton.
She is survived by her stepdaughter, Irene Goldsby, Shelton; stepson, John Stephens (Patti), Shelton; sister Edith Frerichs, Sioux City, IA; brothers, Ed and Fred Frazier, Dunlap, IA; seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Cliff and brothers Paul and Duane.
Inurnment will be at Shelton Memorial Park. Donations can be made to Adopt-a-Pet, 941 E. Jenson Rd. Shelton, WA 98584. The family was served by  McComb Funeral Home.
