Brendella M. Jackson, 82, of Shelton, WA passed away on Monday, February 25, 2013 surrounded by her daughters. Brendella was born on January 14, 1931 to Byron and Winifred (Garland) Hall in Brewer, Maine. She moved to Washington at a young age and graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard in 1950. She married Robert Jackson in Bremerton, WA. Brendella was a homemaker for most of her career days although she did work as an aid at a nursing home and also worked in retail sales. She was a member of the Kitsap Saddle Club and the Scottish Society. Her hobbies included horses, showing horses, riding, ceramics, hiking, traveling, kayaking, gardening, shopping, baking, and cooking. She enjoyed reading and learning about her heritage. Brendella referred to herself as the “traveling gypsy”, as she would divide her time staying with her three daughters in different places. She was fond of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and would often join them for skateboarding or ice skating. She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly (Terry) Enger, Shelton, Karen (Rusty) Zickefoose, Cortez, CO and Kathy (Lyes) Jackson, Sacramento, CA; stepchildren, Sadie Tsakonas, MI and Tim (Rosemarie) Jackson, LA and numerous cousins. Donations can be made to donor’s choice or any animal rescue affiliation. At Brendella’s request, no services will be held. McComb Funeral Home was honored to serve this family.
