Elizabeth Christine Obi, 42, died at her home in Kamilche, WA on Saturday, May 4, 2013. She was born on April 21, 1971 to Dave J. and Deborah D. (Napoleon) Obi in Aberdeen, WA. Elizabeth attended school in Taholah before moving for a time to Crescent City. In 1996, she moved to Kamilche where she became a member of the Squaxin Island Tribe. Elizabeth worked as a caregiver, commercially digging clams and fishing and most recently was employed in the hotel industry at Little Creek Casino and Resort. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and pets. Elizabeth is survived by her parents, Dave Obi, Taholah and Deborah Obi, Kamilche; son, Martin Sequak Jr., Kamilche; daughters, Alicia Obi, Kamilche and Che-Vonne Obi, Michigan; brother, Dion Obi; nephew, Jerome and four grandchildren, Melanie, Jeremiah, Olivia and Thailer. She is preceded in death by her Aunties, Connie and Rebecca Napoleon and Uncle Melvin Napoleon. Donations can be made to Adopt-A-Pet, 940 E. Jenson Rd, Shelton, WA 98584. Services will be held at the Squaxin Island Gymnasium on Friday, May 10, 2013, beginning with a viewing from noon to 1. Burial will follow at the Squaxin Island Cemetery.
