Marvin E. Webster

websterMarvin was born Sept. 5, 1932 in Tacoma, WA. He graduated from Lincoln HS in 1952, having served as Class President. After a tour in the Army, he moved to TX and graduated with a business degree from SMU in Dallas.  That’s where he met wife Janice; they were married for 56 years.  Marvin enjoyed golfing, winemaking, gardening, playing cards, fishing, boating and the sunshine in Palm Desert.  He volunteered for Boy Scouts, Junior Achievement, Shelton Food Bank, and aiding the multi-handicapped, raising funds to build a home. He was a great fan of the Seahawks & Huskies.  He loved socializing and getting to know everyone he met.  A highlight was getting together with friends in the Lake Limerick/Shelton community where he lived his retirement years.

Marvin's greatest joy was his family who was by his side when he passed at his daughter’s home March 1, 2015 following a long bout with cancer.

He is survived by wife Janice, son Mark (Tina), grandchildren McLean & Evanne; daughter Kellie Morris (Paul), grandchildren Nicole Yokes (Jeff), Matt (Jodi) & great-grandchildren Ally, Tyler, Madison, & Jaelynn.

Internment will take place at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent on Friday, March 13th at 11:30 AM.  A celebration of life will be held at Lake Limerick Inn, Shelton on Sunday, April 26th at 1:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the cancer society of your choice.
