Senior Farmers Market Program2013 Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program Distribution Schedule for Thurston and Mason Counties. The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) provides low-income seniors with $40 in SFMNP checks to purchase fresh, nutritious, unprepared, unprocessed, locally grown fruits, vegetables, honey and fresh-cut herbs from authorized farmers markets and roadside stands from June through October 2013. Additional resources in the form of nutrition educational materials including recipes, nutrient values, food preparation and storage information are also provided.
Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program checks are distributed on a first come, first served basis, distributed via mail only.
Eligibility: Age 60+, or American Indian or Alaska Native 55+.
Monthly income at or below $1,771 for a 1 person household or $2,391 for a 2 person household.
To receive SFMNP checks, you must complete an application.
Applications will be available on or after June 1, 2013.
