Mason General Hospital For Achievements
SHELTON, Wash. – Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics wasrecognized for outstanding efforts to reduce patient harm and improve patient safety by the Washington State Hospital Association (WSHA) of Seattle.
MGH&FC earned the 2013 “Washington State Hospital Association Safe Care in Action” award for its efforts to decrease patient harm in 10 key areas through their participation in the “Partnership for Patients national initiative” – a nationwide collaborative effort to reduce the number of hospital-acquired conditions by 40 percent and hospital readmissions by 20 percent by the end of 2013. “Our hospital staff, administration and hospital commissioners take patient safety seriously,” said Eric Moll, CEO of MGH&FC after receiving the award. “We are pleased to have our efforts recognized by our peers. This work helps us establish best practices in our hospital so that they become second nature, which is great news for patients.”
