Citizen Editorial: Misuse of Disability Placards

Now for my yearly rant on the misuse of disability placards.
On the top of each placard is a message that states, you must remove the placard BEFORE moving your vehicle.
Too many people with disability placards leave them hanging from their rearview mirrors thus obstructing their view. (which btw is a crime: obstructed driving,/ No person shall drive any motor vehicle with any sign, poster, or other nontransparent material upon the front windshield, side wings, or side or rear windows of such vehicle which obstructs the driver's clear view of the highway or any intersecting highway.) Please take the placard off the mirror before you drive as I'm sure no one wants to be that person who runs someone down because they didn't see them in a cross walk or on a bicycle.
Think before you drive, and if you can't think, you shouldn't be driving.
