Shelton’s National Guard armory, built in 1955, is seeing new life as Mason Transit Authority’s first-of-its-kind Transit-Community Center (T-CC).With fresh construction commencing in 2014, Shelton’s historic armory is being transformed into a fully integrated community-wide center, embracing public agencies, nonprofits, and private market partners.
Together, these pioneers will service a full range of community needs related to the opportunities awaiting users of public transportation in a rural area.
Monday night, 6PM at the Shelton Civic Center, MTA will have a public showing of a video which highlights the vision of Mason Transit Authority and its project partners, showing the progress of the T-CC through its initial stages.
