New IT - Emergency Manager For County

rossmcdowellRoss McDowell was introduced as the new Manager of Information Technology and Emergency Management for Mason County at Tuesday’s county commission meeting. McDowell spent 20 years with Lewis County Sheriff's Office, and has a total of 30 years in Law Enforcement. In Lewis County, he was appointed Assistant Emergency Manager, by Sheriff Steve Mansfield.

According to The Chronicle, McDowell spearheaded the cleanup efforts after the Cowlitz River flooded East Lewis County in 2006, and during and after the 2007 flood.

McDowell started Monday, June 16, 2014. He’ll be on Daybreak, with Jeff and Dale, Wednesday, June 18, during the 8:00 hour. (Daybreak is live on 1030 KMAS and streaming on kmas.com from 6AM to 9AM)
