Shelton, WA – Northcliff Road between Birch Street and Poplar Street. Monday 6/23 to Tuesday 8/25/2014 –The Contractor will only occupy half the street at a time; the unoccupied portion will be used for traffic flow.
During the project, Northcliff Road will be impassible for a 48 hour period at the construction site. Access to and from properties north of this location, will be via N. 13th Street. This disruption to normal traffic is planned to allow for the contractor’s quick replacement of the culvert. After the culvert is installed, the road will be open to through traffic, but may be limited to one-way traffic controlled by flagging during work hours.
There will be trucks and equipment causing noise and congestion during this time. There will be flaggers staged in various areas, watching for pedestrians and directing traffic. PLEASE BE ALERT AND OBEY THE FLAGGING PERSONEL’S DIRECTIONS FOR YOUR SAFETY. Driving lanes will be very narrow or one-way, and vehicle delays could be twenty minutes or longer. Please plan accordingly and avoid the area whenever possible from 7:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m.
We will try to keep you notified of any changes, but as was stated above this time period will be very hectic and fast-paced. There are three trailer mounted message signs staged at N13th, Poplar Street and San Joaquin Avenue to provide up to date information. Please also check the City of Shelton’s web site at www.ci.shelton.wa.us for the latest information.
The City of Shelton would like to thank everyone for your patience and understanding during this project. You have all helped make the project a success.
