Shelton Man Arrested For Drugs, Stolen Firearm
In the early morning hours of July 16, 2014 Shelton Police Officers were in the area of 3000 Johns Prairie Rd on routine patrol. One of the Officers observed three men standing at the property edge of an apartment complex in that vicinity and approached them believing that he recognized one of the subjects as having a warrant for his arrest. All three male subjects fled on foot into the nearby wooded area before the Officer could contact them.
When the Officer and his partner approached the area that the men were last seen, they discovered a loaded pistol magazine on the ground. The Officers were able to connect the men to a specific apartment in the complex and the resultant investigation led to the recovery of two handguns that had been reported stolen (one reported stolen out of Lacey and one out of Shelton).
Arrested in connection with this incident is 20 year old Shelton resident Tyler Lagasa. Charges were forwarded to the Mason County Prosecutor for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 2nd Degree, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance - heroin and methamphetamine.
