Multiple Fires Started Over Weekend

UPDATE on Mill No. 5 Fire in Shelton: 21 Acres; 70% Contained. Fire is on DNR land and being managed by DNR with local resources aiding. Chief Tim McKern, Central Mason Fire & EMS gave an update at 8:10AM on 1030KMAS. Burn Ban on, recreational fires are ok, but be safe. Lightning strikes - be aware. Local and surrounding fire districts have helped.
A fire started yesterday at 2 p.m. near Roy at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. By 4:30 p.m. about 68 acres of brush had been extinguished with 20 still being worked on. That fire was not threatening buildings.
UPDATE: 10:39AM from waDNR_fire: #TeagueRoad fire, S. of Rochester, structures NO LONGER threatened, 40 acres, smoke visible from I-5. Earlier Report: A brush fire south of Rochester, known as the Teague Fire, has burned 40-year-old timber and is threatening structures. On Sunday night, DNR officials said the fire was 30 acres in size.
A brush fire in Tenino, known as the Crane Road Fire, is more than 20 acres in size. One structure and multiple cars have been burned, and more homes have been threatened.
DNR officials also said Sunday night there was a brush fire in the Johnson Creek area that is about 10 acres in size. No injuries have been reported. KMAS News August 11, 2014
