The untitled Man of Steel sequel from Warner Bros. was awarded an incentive of $35 million on $131 million of projected in-state spending, and is predicted to bring more than 400 jobs to the Michigan area.

Director Zack Snyder will bring together the Caped Crusader and Man of Steel in the anticipated movie, co-writing the story with David S. Goyer.

Filming will start in metro Detroit and continue throughout Michigan. Production is also expected to use approximately 500 local vendors and spend $5.1 million on local hotels in addition to costs for out-of-town cast and crew.

"Detroit is an example of a quintessential American city, and I know it will make the perfect backdrop for our movie," Snyder said. "Detroit and the entire state of Michigan have been fantastic collaborators, and we are looking forward to working together on this film."

The super hero movie has already created buzz with the recent announcement of Oscar winner Ben Affleck as Batman. The film will also star Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.
