Blind Teammates Escape Alcatraz in Historic Swim

Nineteen-year-old Katie Cuppy, 17-year-old Max Ashton and 25-year-old Tanner Robinson finished the 1.5-mile open-water swim from Alcatraz Island to the foot of the Hyde Street Pier in San Francisco on Sunday, according to the Foundation for Blind Children’s Twitter account.

Deacon Accused of Shooting Pastor During Service

Ronald J. Harris Sr. a pastor for the Tabernacle of Praise Worship Center, was killed during a Friday night revival service in front of more than 60 congregants, including his wife.

Woman Disappears from San Francisco Hospital

Lynne Spalding, of San Francisco, was last seen in her hospital room at San Francisco General Hospital at 10:15 a.m. on Sept. 21.

Report Notes Radio Issues in Death of 19 Arizona Hotshots

Radio updates were too vague, traffic on the radios was heavy during critical times and the updates that were received were brief and informal.

Missouri Man Faces Charges After Daughter's Suicide

Kevin Russell's nightmare began on March 17 when his wife found their 16-year-old daughter, Brooke, unconscious with a single gunshot wound to her head in a park near the family's Joplin, Mo., home. Russell spoke this week to ABC News' Springfield, Mo., affiliate KSPR-TV about his experience.
