The shooting happened around 9 p.m. local time at the Mother of Mercy Mission Catholic Church in downtown Phoenix, Phoenix Police Sgt. Steve Martos said, adding that police responded to a burglary call at the church.

Hagel Made Final Call on Bergdahl Swap, Congress Told
