Ryan Wirtjes, of Sheboygan, was made an honorary firefighter for the town this past week, getting a special uniform, a ride in the fire truck, and the chance to go along on an official safety inspection as part of the crew, ABC affiliate WISN reported.

Witness Says FedEx Truck Was on Fire Before Collision with Bus

While authorities have not yet confirmed the report, they are working to determine why the driver of the FedEx truck drove across a median and into oncoming traffic.

Middle School Student Killed in Accident at Baseball Practice

The child, a student at Roland-Grise Middle School, was struck by a line drive while throwing batting practice. The accident was confirmed by a Laney High School baseball coach, ABC's Wilmington affiliate WWAY reports.
