BART Police Officer Dies in Accidental Shooting
(SAN FRANCISCO) -- A Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) police officer is dead in the San Francisco suburb of Dublin after being shot by another officer. Officials say the two were performing a probation search inside an apartment Tuesday evening. Sgt. J.D. Nelson, a spokesman for the Alameda County Sheriff's Department, said, "The person that they were searching for was not at the residence but, at some point during that search, one officer fired and fatally struck the other officer."
