(WASHINGTON) -- The Robertson family has already made a name for themselves in the hunting accessory business and on the show Duck Dynasty, but if some Republican operatives have their way, politics may become the reality star family's new gig.
According to The Washington Examiner, some Republicans are trying to woo Willie Robertson to run for the House seat being vacated by his friend, retiring Republican Rep. Rodney Alexander of Louisiana.
Alexander will leave his seat at the end of September, and a special election will be held to fill his position. He represents the 5th District, including Monroe, La., which is home to Robertson and his family's companies -- the game call and hunting companies Duck Commander and Buck Commander.
