(WASHINGTON) -- Former Vice President Dick Cheney made a shocking revelation about his implanted heart device. In an interview with CBS 60 Minutes, the former vice president said he was concerned of reports that hackers could break into the devices and kill their owners. "I was aware of the, the danger if you will that existed," Cheney said.
Cheney said doctors disabled the device's wireless capability during the 2007 procedure to protect against a potential assassination attempt.
Cheney said he didn't want to take chances.
"I knew from the experience we'd had in the necessity for adjusting my own device that um it was an accurate portrayal of what was possible,” Cheney said.
