In April, 2005, KMAS was granted a license by the Federal Communications Commission to serve the public interest as a public trustee until February 1, 2014, and on 8/26/13 KMAS was issued a license to rebroadcast the AM signal on FM translator K281BM 104.1. Both licenses will expire on February 1, 2014. We have filed applications for renewal of both licenses with the FCC on August 2, 2013. Copies of these applications are available for inspection during our regular business hours. The license application contains information concerning the station's performance over the last 2 years.
Individuals who wish to advise the FCC of facts relating to our renewal application, and to whether this station has operated in the public interest, should file comments and petitions with the FCC by January 1, 2014. Further information concerning the FCC's broadcast license renewal process is available at 210 West Cota, Shelton, WA 98584 (address of the location of the station's public inspection file) or may be obtained from the FCC, Washington D.C. wwwfcc.gov.
