County Forces Project: County Road Project 1856, Tahuya River Road Culvert Replacement Project.
The Mason County Board of Commissioners and Public Works Department would like to inform the public that the culvert replacement project on Tahuya River Road, County Road Project 1856 will be constructed by the use of County Forces.
The project, along with a road closure, will start at 8:00am Monday, August 12, 2013 at milepost 1.23 and is scheduled to reopen on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 4:30pm.
The project requires the removal of an undersized culvert to be replaced with a fish passable aluminum pipe arch. The County Engineer estimates the project to cost approximately $135,000.
A portion of the funding for this project will be from Natural Resource Conservation Services (NRCS) in the approximate amount of $81,000.
