The Washington State Patrol (WSP) will be holding applicant testing for the position of Trooper on November 2, 2013. The testing will be held at the Southwest Washington WSP Headquarters located at 11018 NE 51st Street in Vancouver at 7:00 AM. Applicants with a desire to be a Washington State Trooper should come prepared to complete a physical agility test and written examination.
“If you are looking to make a difference, now is the time to see if you have what it takes,” says Trooper Bennie Taylor, District Five Recruiter. The WSP is seeking to fill several trooper vacancies across the state.
The WSP only accepts online applications and will no longer test walk-in applicants. Once an application is submitted, applicants will be sent a confirmation email with a testing date. Those wishing to test on November 2nd must pre-register HERE.
Applicants should arrive dressed in appropriate attire to complete the following physical agility tests:
- One minute sit-up test
- One minute push-up test
- One and one half mile run
Applicants who successfully complete the test and meet WSP requirements will advance to a written examination following the physical agility tests. Physical requirements can be found at HERE
For questions about becoming a Washington State Trooper or information on the testing process, please contact Trooper Bennie Taylor at 360-852-1948.
