United Way of Mason County invites non-profit agencies to consider applying for available funds generated through workplace giving campaigns. United Way accepts applications from programs addressing one of three specific impact areas, which we believe are the building blocks for a good life: Education, Income & Basic Needs and Health. Tamra Ingwaldson, Executive Director of United Way, said “While the final amount of donations from workplace and individual giving this year is not yet known, it is already time for agencies to begin applying for funds.” The application and training on the new 2-year funding format will be provided at the Community Services Group (CSG) meeting on January 14, 2014, 1:00pm-2:25pm at the Public Works Building off Hwy-101. Applications will be due no later than March 3, 2014.
Funds are available on an annual basis for agencies and programs serving Mason County residents. After January 14, 2014, interested agencies or groups should call United Way at (360) 426-4999, or visit our website, www.unitedwaymasonco.org, (click on ‘funding’ and ‘apply for grant’) to receive an application. Also, if you are interested in applying for the Greater Olympic Peninsula Combined Federal Campaign, those applications are due to United Way of Mason County by March 3, 2014; click on ‘funding – cfc’ on our website for links to that application.
