Legislative Youth Advisory Council Recruiting For New Members

Washington State Legislative Youth Advisory Council (LYAC) is now recruiting for new members to join the Council for the 2014-15 year. I’ve attached the application and a PDF flier for you to share with your networks, students, and post up in schools, etc. Please encourage young people you work with to apply; it really is a phenomenal opportunity to gain experience in state government and policy, network with other like-minded youth, and be an advocate for their communities. Students that have participated in the past have gone on to top universities, given testimony at the UN, and started their own youth rights/advocacy organizations.

Our website is: www.walyac.weebly.com/ and will have more information about the Council, our work, and the application process! You can also follow us on Twitter at www.twitter.com/WA_LYAC. - Lily Shay Student Engagement Specialist, AmeriCorps*Vista, Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction Email: , Work: 360.725.6055
