According to Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, Obama asked for Netanyahu's help in convincing members of Congress to vote for the strike.

And Netanyahu has complied, making calls to U.S. lawmakers, urging them to support an American-led strike on Syria. Israel, which borders Syria, has quietly supported the Obama administration's calls to bomb Syrian regime military targets in response to the chemical weapons attack on Aug. 21.
