In fact, Rodman told the Chicago Tribune that he would like to partner with the NBA to host basketball games on the North Korean leader's birthday. According to the New York Times, Rodman's trip was not at all interrupted by the execution of Kim Jong Un's uncle.

In his previous trip to North Korea, Rodman generated a lot of buzz, saying that Kim Jong Un was a "good guy," who just wants Barack Obama to "call him."
