Inside Look at Baby George’s First Christmas
(LONDON) -- The queen has spoken…with new royal baby details that everyone wants to hear. Accompanied by a video of Prince George at his christening, the queen’s annual Christmas Day message said, “The arrival of a baby gives everyone the chance to contemplate the future with renewed happiness and hope. For the parents, life will never be quite the same again.”
The proud great-grandmother’s words are true, as Prince William and Kate told reporters that baby George was more interested in the wrapping paper than the presents. The couple braved the chilly traditional walk to the holiday church service sans George, but happily holding hands.
Prince Harry was also present, sporting a beard left over from his recent Antarctic adventure. He stepped out solo, despite rumors that his girlfriend Cressida Bonas would be spending the holidays with him.
With little George in tow, that makes four generations of royals all united under the queen’s roof in Sandringham for the holidays, and just in time for the traditional Boxing Day hunt.
“It’s significant to them because it’s very traditional,” Daily Mirror royal reporter Victoria Murphy said on ABC’s Good Morning America. “The men do the shooting and the women generally tend to be there socializing.”
Though the men spent the day hunting pheasants, when they retired to a nearby cabin for lunch, they feasted on a catered meal.
