Tension Rising in Eastern Ukraine

On Saturday, armed separatists seized a pair of buildings in Sloviansk. Interior Minister Arsen Avakov announced the operation Sunday morning, but did not state where it took place.

US Navy: Without New Leads, Search for MH370 to End Soon

b_250_0_16777215_00_images_obgrabber_2014-04_3a5ac6ee56.jpg (NEW YORK) --  Search teams looking for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 will abandon use of the U.S. Navy’s underwater black box locator in the next few days unless credible new signals are picked up from possible emergency beacons, a U.S. Navy captain said Saturday. “When the time is right, we’ll say ‘Yes, the beacons have probably stopped transmitting’ and it’s time to shift,” Capt. Mark Matthews told ABC News. That time, he said, is coming in a “few more days.”

A Soldier's 12-Hour Walk to Lebanon with an Injured Leg

Fighters routinely undergo the long, perilous foot journey to Lebanon's impoverished northern valley to seek medical care, which is cheaper and more accessible than what they might find in Syria.

She Ping, 34, a honey merchant from Chongqing province in Southwest China, pulled off the feat, known as "bee bearding" with the help of his wife and fellow bee keepers who covered Ping in a "bee dress" weighing more than 45 kilograms (100 pounds).

Iran: Illegal to Ban UN Ambassador

Hamid Aboutalebi was part of a student group that held American hostages at the U.S. embassy in Tehran after its seizure in 1979. Earlier Friday the White House said the U.S. had communicated to Iran that its UN ambassador pick was “not viable.”
