Prince Harry and Team Reach South Pole

The prince, along with four injured British soldiers, made the trek as part of the Walking with the Wounded South Pole Allied Challenge. The group made it to their destination around 12:00 p.m. GMT, according to the charity's site. Three teams of wounded servicemen and women made the trip, with members from the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia and Canada.

Mexico Lawmaker Strips in Congress to Protest Energy Bill

Some say this will strip the country, and one lawmaker demonstrated this point in front of Congress. A Mexican Member of Parliament from the leftist opposition, Antonio Garcia Conejo, from the PRD (Party of the Democratic Revolution), stripped down to his underwear during a Senate debate Dec. 11 in protest of the move.

Chinese Warship Pressures US Navy Ship: Leads to Near Collision

The guided missile cruiser USS Cowpens was transiting through international waters in the South China Sea on Dec. 5, close to where China’s new aircraft carrier Liaoning was operating, defense officials said.

North Korean Leader Kim Jong-un Has Uncle Executed

The state news agency KCNA called Jang Song-thaek, who had been Kim's uncle and top deputy, "despicable human scum" and "worse than a dog" in a release announcing his execution.

UN Report: Syrian Chemical Weapons 'Probably Used' at Five Sites
