The Indians recalled left-handed pitcher Nick Hagadone from Triple-A Columbus to take Masterson’s roster spot.

On Monday night against the New York Yankees, Masterson lasted just two innings, allowing five earned runs on six hits in the 5-3 loss.  The right-hander is 4-6 on the season with a 5.51 ERA and a 1.65 WHIP.

In six games with the Indians this season, the 28-year-old Hagadone is 1-0 with a 6.00 ERA. He has allowed two earned runs in three innings of work.
