Farnsworth Named Mets Closer

The 38-year-old Farnsworth, who didn't make the team out of spring training, takes over for Jose Valverde, who has allowed four home runs in his last three appearances. The job was originally Bobby Parnell's, but he was lost to the year with an elbow injury.


Kuchar Holes Bunker Shot to Win at Harbour Town

Kuchar holed a bunker shot for a birdie on the 18th hole to win the RBC Heritage by one-stroke over Luke Donald Sunday. "I told my caddie before that last shot, 'I'm about due to make one of these,’" Kuchar said.


Bruins Strike Back, Even Series with Wings

Florek started the scoring in the first period when Detroit goalie Jimmy Howard came out of the crease and attempted to pass the puck to defenseman Brendan Smith.
