Dodgers Slug Cardinals 6-4 to Force Game 6

Facing elimination Wednesday, the team hit four home runs, including two by Adrian Gonzalez as they defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 6-4 to force a Game 6 in the NL championship series. The Dodgers will send Clayton Kershaw to the mound on Friday night in St. Louis. He will be opposed by Cardinals rookie Michael Wacha.

Vikings QB Josh Freeman to Start Against Giants

Patriots LB Jerod Mayo Out for Season

Mayo, who leads the team in tackles underwent surgery for a torn pectoral muscle Tuesday, a league source told ESPNBoston.com. "He does a lot for us, on the field, off the field. We're just going to have to move on," Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said on Wednesday.
